Back in the fall of 2007 Summer was diagnosed with Glaucoma. It was very painful for her and after trying a variety of medicines the final option was the removal of her eyes. The left eye was in November '07 and the right eye was in March of '08. As you can see by these pictures and the video's, she has adjusted amazingly well. She has a ramp to get out in the back yard and has no problem finding her way up and down. She wonders with great ease through the back yard and the house; as long as I don't move the furniture. The videos below are her in the backyard and at the school yard around the corner. She *LOVES* to go out and run where she can be free.... or is that she knows she gets cookies when she comes to the clicker... only Summer knows that answer. Mozie will often lose his ball in the flower bed. I send Summer in and she won't come out until it's found. Summer will be 11 in September. Amazing!!
Here are some video's of summer in her back yard and her schoold romp.....
